Our Fabric
Our vision for kovi has always included sustainability as a core value. this is why we've chosen to work with fabric makers who share that vision. all of our fabrics are organic, which dramatically lessens the earthly impact of our operations. these fabrics require significantly less water, require no pesticides or herbicides, improve human and animal welfare, and combat climate change.
Hemp
- Hemp has been grown since 8000 BC, and was the first plant used for textiles.
- Cool in the summer but warm in the winter, hemp excels season to season.
- As the strongest natural fiber, hemp guarantees durability and longevity — it is a textile that wears itself in, not out, enhancing with each wash.
- Hemp is also antibacterial, making it the perfect fabric to wear with our little ones.
Cotton
- Cotton is soft, breathable and moisture wicking.
- When blended with hemp, the fabric retains the softness of cotton with the durability and strength of hemp.
Yak
- Yak down is hypoallergenic, and very warm while remaining breathable.
- It is a luxury fiber for both its amazing softness (comparable to cashmere) and limited availability; each yak only produces 1 kilogram of down per year.
Recycled Polyester
- Our recycled polyester webbing and mesh fabric is made from old plastic bottles, diverting waste from landfill and reducing demand for virgin materials.
Our Packaging
We've partnered with ecoenclose to provide usa made, sustainable packaging which includes shipping boxes, labels and tissue paper made of 100% recycled materials, as well water activated tape that is plastic free and recyclable.
USA Made
We are invested in keeping our production in the USA, which allows us to maintain the highest quality standards, keep ethical manufacturing jobs in the country, and support sustainability.
